Meek's is a leading building materials chain with dozens of locations throughout the Midwest and West Coast. Founded in 1920, it continues to serve the professional builder and home owner. Meek's has a variety of positions including management, outside sales, credit managers, and various support functions. Industry experience assisting professional builders is a plus.

Cooperative Education Program

The Meek's Co-op Program is a 12 to 24 month program open to various Business, Agri-Business, Construction, and other related majors. You will learn about many aspects of the building materials industry including Marketing, Merchandising, Salesmanship, Purchasing Computer Information Systems, Management Concepts and much more. You'll get the proper tools you need to enter the business world. For Meek's, the Student Program offers a qualified pool of educated, enthusiastic and highly motivated students to work part-time in their retail stores or general office. Furthermore, and just as important, Meek's draws on the resources and talent developed in their Student Program to build their future. This means Meek's offers an opportunity to many of its Co-op students to stay with the company after graduation. Joining the Meek's Cooperative Education Student Program will provide the basis for a solid future for you.

Co-op Expectations and Application:

  • You will be expected to perform the duties assigned to you in a professional manner.
  • You must show enthusiasm in projects and an indication of potential staying power.
  • Minimum of a 2.5 GPA
  • You must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student.
  • You must be a full-time student during regular semesters.
  • CO-OPs must work a minimum of 20 hours per week. More may be offered based on management/student agreement. Most students work full time during the summer months.
  • Those students selected to participate in this program will be placed in stores or the general office with available positions. Since the positions are part-time, the work location will be one near your home or school.
